Home page button missing version 55

I realize this has been discussed and dismissed, but before I move on to another browser I'd like to express my displeasure with the missing home page button. I use that to refresh my home page, and new tab homepage isn't going to get it, I already got an extension to make my new tab Google search all by itself, which is what I want in a new tab. Chrome extensions add-on seems to bring the browser to its knees, so that doesn't seem to fix it either. I detest the speed dial, I'll bet it is great with a touch screen, but for normal computing it is just bubble gum. I have semi trained myself to use the refresh button, but come on, is that such a big ask?

You can request it in the proper forum for suggestions and requests. Maybe it can be implemented someday.
