      Hi

I've modified search in the adress bar to Duckduckgo by default but cannot modify this for the search box at start page nor is it possible to remove those search box. Please add or enable this functionality.

      Thanks in advance!

@blueknight7 You can 'remove' (hide) it.

I did the same. Google is, after all PURE EVIL, in spite of their absurd slogan.

Can anyone recommend a method to install StartPage as one of the "default" search engines? Better yet, how can we replace the Google default on the Speed Dial page? Google needs its nefarious tentacles surgically excised from EVERYTHING. The same goes for FascistBook and Twitler!

At least you can add StartPage as "other search engine", and then handle it as comfortable as one of the default ones, by assigning a keyword to it:

In the Opera settings, search for Manage search engines... ---> Add new search:

            • Name: StartPage
            • Keyword: sp [or whatever you like]
            • Address: https://www.startpage.com/do/search?query=%s&cat=web&language=english

Or just visit StartPage and click on "Add to Opera".
