Today I got two women and a man having sex. I saved a screenshot. In the blog you mention I can't find any contact form, I sent Opera a tweet. Thanks for your help.

So they can change the displayed sites, but I can't do it myself? Silly.

Or not so silly, if it would interfere with the revenue model.

Like I care for the revenue model.
I think it can be done with some preloaded, default content that is still user-changeable - like it is on desktop with Opera 12.

When you develop and market your own free web browser, feel free to do it however you want. But I think you'll find Opera is doing things in ways that make sense to them financially. As to whether or not that turns out to be wise remains to be seen.

Does it really make sense financially to make me not want to use the feature altogether? I think http://portal.opera.com/ is pretty decent, for instance. It's pretty much the same thing, but with customization.

I certainly cannot pronounce about what makes sense to Opera, financially speaking. But it seems to me that if they're getting any kind of "rent" payment for face-time from the Discover content providers, it can only reduce their revenue to expend the necessary effort to put the user-content-selection code in the browser, as well as protect such controls from hijacking or exploitation. Particularly at a time when we're assured repeatedly that the devs are up to their eyeballs in work, trying to code "new and exciting" features for the browsers... 😉

Maybe this Discover thing would be useful if it would offer some nice porn sites. Customised to individual taste, of course. It would surely generate some revenue for Opera too.

Then again, maybe Opera has a little class... something many of the whiners seem to sorely lack.
