@himhui Flashplayer failed to load in recent version of Opera!
With Debian 7.5 and Opera 12.16 Flashplayer 11,2,202,378 loads!
Please start opera in Shell with debug switch:
opera --debugplugin
What does the console show?
Call Opera Settings
Go to Tabs Advanced -> Content
Plug-in Options...
Find new...Search path for plugins should be:
/usr/lib/opera/plugins:/usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree:/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins:/usr/lib/xulrunner-addons/plugins

Sorry....I should have psoted on windows thread.....
How can I debug on windows ? -
Deleted User last edited by
No debug available in windows Opera.
Flashplayer 14,0,0,125 (32bit) is running fine on Opera 12.16 (32bit).
Is your plugin active? See
opera:plugins
Did you activate Plugin on demand? See
opera:config#UserPrefs|EnableOnDemandPlugin
may be uninstalling and reinstalling Flash player works. See https://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/otherversions/

Thanks for your help.
I am sorry that I didn't mention clearly. I've just tested Opera 12, it's fine.
The one does not work was Opera 22.0.1471.50, dunno why re-installation still not okay... I also checked that it was enable. -

Opera 22.0.1471.50 works with Flashplayer 14 on my Win 7.
What means:
Flashplayer failed to load
Please explain.
Does show https://www.adobe.com/de/software/flash/about/ Flashplayer version?

The Adobe Flash Player or an HTML5 supported browser is required for video playback.

Youtube.com videos play fine with 14,0,0,125 on my Windows 7 x64.
if some video play via Facebook, flash player works.

Opera 12.16 & Flash player on Ubuntu 14.04
flash player is not recognized as being installed on my Ubuntu 14.04 installation. I have done everything I can find on the internet to do to fix this but nothing works. Chrome works fine and says it's plugin is the most current Flash version. Opera says no plugin, even though I have copied the flashplayer.so file into the plugin folder for Opera. I could switch to Chrome in Ubuntu as I like the new Opera browser in Windows. It would be nice if Opera would develop a Linux version of the new Opera. I did read an article where the new Opera was installed under Wine and run from a USB. Is it possible to use Wine to run the new Opera installed in windows of my dual boot computer (Win 8.1 & Ubuntu 14.04). That would be great as all my passwords and bookmarks would work on both OS's.

You need to copy the 'libflashplayer.so' to '/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins' as administrator or superuser. Restart Opera and flash should start working.

@mmcl26554 check the search path in Opera 12!
As i wrote:

Search path for plugins should be:
/usr/lib/opera/plugins:/usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree:/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins:/usr/lib/xulrunner-addons/pluginstest@debian:~$ cat .opera/pluginpath.ini Opera Preferences version 2.1 ; Do not edit this file while Opera is running ; This file is stored in UTF-8 encoding [Paths] /usr/lib/opera/plugins=1 /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree=1 /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins=1 /usr/lib/xulrunner-addons/plugins=1
i installed tme package flashplugin-nonfree which works fine.

On Mandriva or Mageia, they use /use/lib/browser plugins or something similar - just a little different, but makes sense when you don't have Firefox or SeaMonkey as default browser. Just check to see where the Flash plug-in really is, and make sure that is in your plugin path.

I got Flash to work by cp'ing the libpepflashplayer.so from /usr/lib/pepperflashplugin-nonfree into /opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash. It's puzzling that the original flashplayer in Chrome's directory didn't work, though.

Sorry, but the problem of flashplayer is not with Opera 24 Developer but Opera 12. Opera 12 does not use pepperflashplugin!
This is not a Chromium related problem. -

Opera 26 Linux 64 bit. Why does opera SUCK so much when it comes to flash? The new config menu thing also sucks.
So many things right but the things that are wrong ruin the whole experience.
Been using Opera for YEARS btw, but this may be the end. -

I use Opera 30.0.1835.59 and Linux Mint 17.1. Adobe flash plugin is not recognised and does not work in Opera! Very bad! I am thinking to switch to another browser!
