Stop modifying bookmarks bar without permission

This last update added 6 new shortcuts to my bookmarks bar. None of them I would ever care to use. I accepted long ago you adding them by default to the speed dial, but would you please stop putting shortcuts into my bookmarks that I have zero use for? Thank you.

What new shortcuts were added? I do not remember anything being added to my bookmarks toolbar.

I see what you mean with Opera 54, which I just downloaded. I found that junk will not come back if you delete the unwanted bookmarks, or shortcuts in speed dial if you empty the trash after deleting them.

I agree. Opera devs need to stop forcing their crap "default bookmark suggestions" on their customers. Not everyone uses the net for travel, business or shopping.

Hi,
Thank you very for your feedback. This week we've improved this mechanism and now there are two cases which will prevent unexpected changes to your bookmarks bar. The first is that you have manually turned off the bookmarks bar. The second case is that you have removed the suggested bookmark links which popped up recently.
If your bookmarks bar is still experiencing unexpected changes, please file a bug report so we can fix the problem for all users.
