Any thing to watch out for when Blink is installed on a machine or VM that also has a functioning install of Opera Presto (12.xx). What is going to break, etc? Thanks

Not really, apart from the fact you will/may be ask if you wish to import settings/bookmarks/etc from your current install of Opera Presto. Doing so, or not doing so should have no affect on your current install, but you never know, so it may be wise to back up (to any where you like) your current profile folder, just in case.

Thanks much!
we're starting to experiment at work using Blink to replace Presto as the approved non-IE browser for our power users, looking for all the dual-install and transition hints we can find to get us started....

I have Opera 20.0.1387.91 and Opera 11.64 installed in my computer right now.
I haven't experienced any problems with the functionality of either one. I just made sure that during their install, they were each installed in their own separate folders.NOW ... the thing that I did wonder about is for example ... the other day, for some reason or other, I did an uninstall and reinstall of Opera 11.64. I used Revo Uninstaller for the uninstall as I do for most uninstalls. When it prompts for whether you want to delete the additional files, folders and registry entries that it finds, I was prompted with whether I wanted the "Opera Software" folder deleted. That made me pause and wonder whether that "Opera Software" folder was the very same Opera Software folder where my Opera 20.0.1387.91 was installed. I didn't know right off the bat whether it was possible that there was another "Opera Software" folder within the Opera 11.64 files. So, just to be on the safe side, I opted to not select that "Opera Software" folder to be deleted during the Opera 11.64 uninstall.

Okay, let me amend that.
My Opera 20.0.1387.91 is not installed in an "Opera Software" folder.
But, over in C:\Documents & Settings\xp client\Application Data ... there IS of course some of Opera 20.0.1387.91's stuff installed there. -

Over the years, I've learned (the hard way) to be very careful about using ancillary uninstallers like Revo to remove Opera from my systems where I've got multiple versions of Opera installed. I've also learned to 'custom' install all my Opera versions into uniquely-named folders, rather than the typical default-prompted "*\opera" folder name (eg: I custom-name the folder to something like *\opera1164). There are simply too many ways for confusion between versions otherwise when later uninstalling one of them.
