Android Messages is being rolled out today and would make a great addition to the currently supported messaging platforms (Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) that can be accessed from the sidebar.

I got to this thread searching for this extension on Opera. I use it on 64-bit Linux Seamonkey and would like to use it with Opera. Thanks.

This is definitely needed...
Having WhatsApp and FB in that bar makes it easier to communicate with friends. For those who aren't using modern communication tools, a link to messages.android.com would be great. It would sit very nicely in a popup of its own. -

Hi,
I think Messages for Android would be an awesome add to the sidebar, supposed to be working like Telegram.
Personally I always have a pinned tab for this, but would be so much better to have it included in the sidebar -

Hello everyone,
Some may know some may not.
But google is making a new system to send sms.
Well they made it possible to send an ordinary sms with your computer now.
I would like to add this site or messaging app to the side bar like messenger, whatsapp, telegram and vk.The site to do this is (https://messages.android.com) you can send real sms with this site.
This is the standard messaging app on android phones with anrdoid 8 or higher.
So I really think this would be an additions to the side bar for messaging.hope to hear your opinions on this people.
My best regards

You really should add your support to the existing request rather than adding a new one.

This is a great feature which, if added to opera, I'm going to use every day.
Having the ability to send SMS from Opera because it's connected to my phone via messages.google.com is very helpful indeed.I'm really hoping to see this.

Instead of adding support for Messages, the Opera Team should make it possible for Extensions to use this Sidebar instead.
That way we could get rid of the Extension Sidebar and also support more Messaging Services like Discord, Skype and such. -
