Android permissions: phone calls — read phone status and identity

I've been asked to grant this permission with the latest update. Any hint what use a web browser might have out of it?

@lkwid What triggered the permission request?

Mine only asked for permission to use the camera when reading the QR code.

Update of Opera Touch app - it requires new permissions.

@lkwid What version of Android are you on? In newest ones those requests are only triggered when needed, as far as I know.

Touch here never asked for such permission.

@leocg It's 5.0.2 Lollipop. I didn't trigger it in any way, just updated my apps through Google Play. Nothing fancy really.
