Opera continuously disrupting streaming sound/music

Opera is disrupting streaming music to the point where I cannot listen to it. With just one tab open there are 4 instances of Opera running-I have no add-ons or extensions installed.
Using Process Explorer, it shows Opera continuously spiking and disrupting sound.
It has gotten to the point where I use another browser to listen to on-line music.
Any offers of help?

Not sure. I listen to Pandora, Slacker, and TuneIn radio in Opera 21, and have no problem at all with the way it sounds. Are you saying that Opera 21 -- when you refer to Opera "spiking and disrupting sound" -- is somehow making the music sound bad that you are listening to. What kind of streaming sites are you listening too. Give us a link or links, and we can check it. Maybe those are problem sites for Opera (ex., Opera 21 has problems with some sites, like, for example, http://betaplayer.radio.com/listen/station/wbz-newsradio-1030)

By Process Explorer you are referring to software something like the Windows Task Manager, but with more features? I assume you are interpreting something from the Process Explorer as reflecting "spiking/disrupting" and it supports what your ear tells you -- that the sound is bad. Let us know something about your setup. Operating system, ram, etc. (Now I use Windows 7, and have 8 Ram, and plenty of computer speed). Maybe yours is a flash related issue. Do the sites you are listening too require flash. Do you have the latest Adobe flash player? Here's a link from someone using Firefox, complaining about their music stuttering and breaking up on Pandora. Now when you say there are four instances of Opera running, you must mean in Process Explorer/Task Manager? That may well be okay, even if you have no extensions. I mean, you have plugins that may cause an extra process or processes. Many of them are using very little memory.I'm not worried.

--Yes, the sound stutters/disappears then returns only to stutter or disappear again. Again and again and....

What kind of streaming sites are you listening too. Give us a link or links, and we can check it.
--I listen to WDNS 93 of Bowling Green. I can't figure out how to add/attach a link or .png file to show the problem I am having.

--Yes this is what I am using. I have a screen capture to show that it is Opera spiking but I do not know how to add it to my post. If there is a way to add it to my next post, please show me how.

--I am running Win7 HP with an AMD Phenom II X4 964 Black Edition 3.4 ghz Quad Core, 16 GB RAM, 240GB SSD, and a Radeon HD 7750 2GB GPU.

Thanks in advance. I like Opera and would like to keep using it for all my browser needs. Just for the record, I used the newest Firefox browser with several add-ons/extensions and tabs open and had no music streaming issues at all. I prefer Opera, however...

Maybew it will play better for you out of TuneIn Radio. It's one of their stations. You could register with them (they have tons of stations) and see if it makes a difference. To be able to register, I think you'll have to disable any ad blocker, or you may have, or whitelist the site from your adblocker.

I can't figure out why you're having a problem. You're have more ram than I do. I'm not sure about the rest but it sounds good. Do you by any chance have Off-Road mode on with Opera 21. If so, that might be causing a problem. It prevented me -- when I had it on -- from playing Pandora. I was able to play your station, but you might want to check it. Make sure Off-Road mode is off. Also, I'm assuming you got your Flash update IN the Opera browser. In other words, WITH Opera 21 you went to the website for it.. If not, take Opera 21 to the site and try downloading and installing again. It can't hurt
