FB Messenger and WhatsApp in Sidebar are Painfully Sluggish

I’m re-posting this issue from the Opera for Mac forum, as this seems to very much apply to Opera 10 for Windows.
Is this a known issue? I seem to be one of many who are experiencing it. Please advise.
Original post:
“I've been using opera for the past year and have had Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp Messenger in my sidebar. They worked perfectly until a couple of weeks ago when all of a sudden both messengers started lagging heavily. Typing is slow, if I click on something, it takes about 5 seconds for it to finally load/register. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so, is there a fix? I loved having them connected to my browser but it's more of a hassle than a help now.”

I not having any issue about side bar or having slowdowns on browser.
But...
What is your Opera Browser version, channel and system ?
You can see this in opera://about/
may you need consider to migrate to Opera Developer Or Beta..
( for some reasons i not use Opera stable anymore, now i ever use Opera Developer has Default Browser)in other way you may be using many extensions in opera.
(some extensions may cause slowdowns in browser, one of extensions who i used and caused a heavy slowdown is Adblock Origin, Umatrix )You can clean browser cookies and cache from browser.
You can erase all or some files in temporary folder in your pc
%temp% , temp and Prefetch.Maybe you can try a Fresh install too....

Thanks, @rodrigowbs . I’m using 51.0.2830.55 on Windows 10. If this were an isolated incident that others were not already reporting, I wouldn’t have (re)posted about it, but it seems to be an recurring issue for many others as well.

I got the same problem and for me it was this honey extension. I removed it from Opera and the sidebar work perfectly!

@kyriosrod I can confirm that the honey extension also caused this issue. Removing the extension made the messengers work perfectly again.
