@burnout426, yes, I have removed any trace of opera before I did fresh install (excluding registry). Yes, user name is still the same

@nero1024 If ya don't mind me asking.. When ya start opera are you using launcher.exe or opera.exe ?..
It may be that you pinned Opera to your taskbar by right-clicking on the taskbar icon of a running instance of Opera and now you are trying to start it from the pinned icon. This actually invokes Opera.exe and not the launcher, which somehow causes opera to save a new blank profile so that even if you run the launcher afterwards, your settings are already lost.
i really did not explain that just right ... but it does make a difference on how ya execute opera lol

@nvmjustagirl, yes I start opera from pinned shortcut and I always did. I wonder why this doesn't work after windows update, but opera developer is working fine? Sometimes I pinned opera.exe, sometimes launcher.exe. Didn't noticed any difference

@nero1024 i can't explain nevermind lol
did'ya try a shortcut to desktop with launcher.exe.. to see if it will save settings.. Are you letting Opera exit fulling after closing it (it can be slow to close down).
ya could try a safe boot with networking to rule out other software (e.g. antivirus or firewall) interfering with Opera Browser.. and to see if it saves settings even without network
If it does not save then perhaps it is the new opera update..even tho the developer works..

And now in opera developer, YouTube and Google accounts are not saved. I mean, I have to sign in every time I close browser. Never happened before. Entering google verification code every time is not cool. What is wrong with settings saving in opera?

@leocg, well, default path was desktop. I moved opera portable to Program Files. Other than that, you can make conclusions based on my previous feedback on this topic. Also, portable version would be ultimate, but I can't make it default browser and it's necessary for links..

@nero1024 i was thinking on installed version when ya uninstall them maybe ya wasn't getting the cookies too.. so if ya installed in same directory then old cookikies messed things up sumhow...or ya may need them dunno lol n e ways have ya done a new setup install with a completly folder of your choice besides the portable
