Moving some bookmarks to folder doesn't sync to other machines.

I have three machines with latest Opera installed. On one of them I created a bunch of bookmarks for on one topic. Later, on the other machine, I moved the to newly created dedicated folder and some subfolders (subtopics).
Unfortunately it didn't sync to other machines. Even later on the machine where I originally created folders I made some more bookmarks and moved them to folders to, but on the other machines they appeared in unsorted section of bookmarks.
Can anything been done about it? -

Finally when I reentered to my sync account on all computers (without resetting sync) - it deleted all carefully sorted bookmarks from folders. Now I see empty folders on all machines. Great!

Which is why I DO NOT keep my data stored on the Opera sync server. I always reset the sync after using it, thus deleting all data from the server.
When I WANT to retrieve bookmarks, passwords etc, I ONLY login from the machine I want synced to, and then login from the machine I want data moved to. And then, and only then, pick the stuff I want moved across - never a blanket movement of all data.
I've had your experience before and have learned my lesson, at time Opera sync cannot be relied on ALWAYS to do what you want. Better be safe than sorry.
When finished with a successful sync, be sure and reset the sync (deleting all data from the Opera server...use Opera with sync not being enabled.

Try looking for Bookmarks.bak file on your profile folder - on every of your Pc's -.
Go to
- OMenu > About Opera
| And follow the Path for profile.
As a security measure, download Opera Offline installer - Opera.com > Opera for Computers - and install it as an Standalone.
Then, use it to "import" the biggest Bookmarks.bak or each of them if necessary.
Rename from Bookmarks.bak to Bookmarks and put them on the StandAlone profile - inside the install folder itself, look for Data folder -.Do your needed reordering, deleting or whatever you need to keep it as you like and export them, save the file and import them to your current Sync'd Opera profile.
Sometimes Sync it's a mess, as @bbildman says, so BackUps are needed, just copy your profile folder/s as frequent as you consider.
