osx 10.13.2 doesn't open any website with opera 49.0.2725.64 vpn checkbox selected

the circle just keeps spinning. the only way to browse is by unselecting vpn checkbox (which defeats the purpose of using opera for the free vpn)!

@speed54 I find I can reach sites with the VPN enabled, however it's ridiculously slow. Pages take forever to load and you can forget playing videos. The VPN seems to be seriously broken in this release and I'm also using 10.13.2.

Well got an Opera update today and it's now at v 50.0.2762.58. Still no progress in fixing the VPN problem, still got the circle turning and not loading sites when VPN enabled, but the instant you uncheck VPN, sites load immediately.
