Issues with dark themes on Xfce4

Some time ago I have reported many issues when using dark themes with Opera. Most of them were solved, but not all:
As it can be seen, it's nearly impossible to see the text from the buttons. This may have implications on security and privacy as, for example, users are unable to see which button will allow sites to track location, control MIDI devices, display notifications and other options.
Opera version: 49.0.2725.56 Stable
System: Ubuntu 17.10 (x86_64; XFCE)
Window manager: xfwm4
Theme used: Adwaita-dark -

I face (almost) the same problem here. Things broke on version 49 because opera decided it can follow the theme's colors for fonts... and only for the fonts.
Debian testing x64, opera stable 49, openbox and numix as the theme.
