Visual C++ runtime library error

Hi,
When I open opera I get this runtime error.
I found this post:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/18270/visual-c-runtime-library-error"If you rename opera_autopdate.exe in Opera installation folder, does error go away?"
My answer is yes. When I do this it works.
As this topic is locked I could not continue there. My question is should I just always use the newly named launcher? Or is there some other step that would have come next if the OP replied?
Regards

Can you tell me what's happening when I launch opera with the renamed opera_autoupdate.exe vs normal?
Would you also be able to tell me what visual c++ library requirements opera has? Or if not, maybe share with me the c++ versions you have installed

Opera will run but will not autoupdate itself, even the extensions would be affected.
Going to "About Opera" - checking for updates will give an error.Would you also be able to tell me what visual c++ library requirements opera has? Or if not, maybe share with me the c++ versions you have installed
I did not even think about to check it as a fix.
