Problem with 12.16 after Kubuntu upgrade.

I just performed the Kubuntu upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04 and most things seem to be working fine. However, when I try Lumosity's games under Opera 12.16, they will start but then after a little while they stop responding to mouse clicks. Also when I go to wunderground.com and try to view one of the animated weather radar maps, it never loads. Both of these used to work in Opera 12.16 before the Kubuntu upgrade. Both still work in Chrome after the upgrade. I really would like to stay with Opera 12.16 since I like the integrated email and other features that I am used to. If this version of Opera is not going to be maintained I might as well switch to Chrome.

Yes, that may have been the problem. I believe there has been a flash update and now at least Lumosity is working again. The wunderground weather map is still not working but I checked that on another computer that has not had the Kubuntu update and it doesn't work there either. Wunderground has change something that Opera doesn't like.

Strange, the animated radar map I use works fine in 12.17 for Windows. (I have bookmarked the map for a radar station west of me - the default radar station where I live is about 100 miles east so at most times only gives you an idea about what's coming in the next 30 minutes. The other station is just about as far west, but as our weather generally comes from west of here that's what I'd rather see.)

It's still not working for me. This is my bookmarked URL. Please try it on your system.

I'll have to try it again in Linux, but it works fine in Windows ... and really the only difference between Windows and Linux versions of Opera 12.x should be external (plugins and such). You haven't disabled javascript?
(I'm going to edit your post to fix the problem with it not wrapping the URL so we don't have to scroll so far right to read it ...)

I have just tried your link above (to Wunderground.com) and the page loads ok, the radar map displays on the right hand side, and have no problem scrolling around the radar map and clicking to zoom in.
This was performed using Opera 12.14 running under Puppy Linux (32bit) based on Ubuntu (13.04) Raring Ringtail on Linux kernel 3.9.8.1., with flash plug-in 11.2.202.275 installed and working. I also have two extensions installed in this setup (that are not disabled), which are 'Slim scrollbar' and 'AdBlock' NOT the plus (+) version.
