Webfonts versus missing icons

I generally block webfonts with uBlock origin because of privacy reasons and because they look frayed. But the new forum uses webfonts as icon replacements, which is a bigger problem. Without webfonts it looks like this:

But with webfonts the font is totally frayed and ugly to look at:
