Opera 46 for Mac Won't Start

Hi all,

I have Opera 46 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.1

I use Opera everyday on both the Personal and Work users (daily) on my laptop. But for some odd reason, today, it just wouldn't start up.

I've probably restarted my Mac for the 5th time now, and Opera still won't open. I've tried opening it from everywhere: My dock, the Applications folder, via Alfred, Spotlight, etc. and still no luck.

Hi @thenightoftheopera, maybe we can fix it by renaming your profile.

From Terminal.app, type
mv ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.operasoftware.Opera ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.operasoftware.OperaBackup

Then try starting Opera again. It'll start from a clean profile (so no bookmarks, preferences, etc) but we'll have your profile backed up. If this works maybe we can figure out what's causing the problem with your profile after that
