The mini version does reproduce the effects of animation as good as Chrome (even when running in data saving mode Chrome is good in animations). Websites like softpaz which have animated homepages showing all info are not loaded correctly, the page does not animate. Opera should have a mode which should be disabled by default, but when enabled in settings, it can load the new details of the page after some seconds. that would be great.

Opera Mini already has the High saving mode in which pages should work like in Chrome, yet with better compression
What you were using is Extreme savings mode, which indeed does not allow pages to be very dynamic.
