Good alternatives to Opera 12.16?

What happens happens! Opera Next is fun to use. Opera 12 was also. They have different pluses and minuses. I make no pretense of being able to predict anything. I only know what I like. And I do still enjoy Opera. I have the New Opera (Opera 20) and the Old (Opera 12) on my desktop. I made the switch because I now enjoy using the new one more. But I respect Opera 12 enormously -- and many of the versions that came before it. Think that Opera was and is still (old Browser and new) a delight.

Opera 20 sucks and this is a fact!
Yes, Opera 20 is one of the worst browsers I've used.
Even with Opera 12, and very sad for having abandoned him in future. -

Ok, I'm much closer now to consider Opera 20 as one of my more used browsers and maybe as default possibly, got the bookmarks figured out and I dont even need Tidy Bookmarks, The bookmarks on Opera now look just like the bookmarks on any of my other browsers, whether it's Ice Dragon, Dragon, Firefox, Srware Iron, the only thing is I access them from the bookmarks bar, No Bigge, I like the bookmarks bar for my most accessed websites, ScreenShots here------>

Are you just using the Personal Bookmarks bar, colderwinters? I tried the extension Chrookmarks (in the Chrome store) and I think it might be a little better than Tidy Bookmarks. You can organize alphabetically and/or chronologically.

What I did Lem was export the bookmarks as HTML from Dragon, A chrome derivitive browser, bookmarks were already sorted by the extension SuperSorter I use on Chrome style browsers, I think exporting bookmarks from a Chrome style browser is the way to go, I also copied the Bookmarks file from Dragon to replace Operas Bookmarks folder in AppData/Roaming, Not sure which of those did the trick, it was late last night when I did it, you can see from the screenshots I access bookmarks from the Bookmarks bar, same as I do in Dragon, they are all in order and cascade, the only extension i have for bookmarks installed is the bookmarks manager for importing bookmarks, works like a charm and I dont need any other bookmarks extensions Progress has been made

I just installed Opera 20 (20.0.1387.91) on Windows 7 a couple of days ago. Although I still prefer version 12.16, version 20 finally appears good enough to use on a daily basis. Was it Opera that said: "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me." Naw, I got confused, that was Stewart Smalley.
I imported my bookmarks, but there were too many bookmark folders to fit on the bookmark bar without scrolling. I ended up creating a bookmark folder named "Bookmarks", then dragged and dropped all the other bookmark folders onto it. Now bookmark behavior is pretty similar to how it was in version 12.
I miss the View Bar, the Wand, and the Start Bar, but at least Opera appears to be usable now. I was beginning to have problems with version 12, so I wanted to use something else for my default browser. I haven't discovered any browsers that have the plethora of features available in Opera version 12.
Oftentimes in life I find so-called "Progress" is regressive. It's a shame to have to reminisce about "The Good Ole Days" as often as I do...

Think about making creative use of the Speed Dial, with each part of it able to include folders. You can have many speed dials within the overal speed dial. Why's it's hallucinogenic. Lucy in the sky . . . Lol. You can store much more of your most used links than in the speed dial in Opera 12. If you end up liking it -- and I love it -- at least that's clearly a significant improvement -- yes in my humble opinion, ;))) over what was before.

Maybe not, maybe yes. I do not imagine someone using Presto to build a browser because it has a lot of bugs.

All of them do. Every software has bugs. The only reason it seemed more prominent with Opera, is because most website designers coded around the bugs in the more popular browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox), while Opera had to code around those same "fixes" implemented on the sites.

Do not forget that the code of Presto is more complex than others. Google changed Webkit to Blink to make the code more simple

Does it still have vsync misses and a slow UI? The "performance" is good, but what I remember was that it was unresponsive back in the day.
