How can I create a new user profile in linux?

Previously in other versions of opera did so:

      Opera -pd newprofile

With this command I can no longer create a new profile

      Thank you

That command - well, with a lowercase "opera", Linux is case sensitive - is for Opera 12.x and to my knowledge hasn't worked on any later versions.

Then how can I create a new user profile?

          I only have a profile in /.config/opera

I want to have 4 user profiles and I can not find a solution.

Many thanks sgunhouse for the help you can give me.

Looking through the list of Chromium commandline switches I see one called --profile-directory so you might try that - no guarantees though.

              I already tried this:
              Operates -pd
              Opera --pd
              Opera -profile-manager

None of these commands work to create a profile.

Neither man pages exist in linux.

I can not go on like this, I should use firefox again or another browser.

This version of Opera disappoints at this point.

Maybe install opera 12. at least in that version I can have several profiles.

              Many thanks sgunhouse

You did't say if you actually tried "--profile-directory" (note the two hyphens in front). Of course -pd doesn't work as that was an Opera 12 option.
