Restore ctrl+backspace functionality

The latest opera next update (21.0.1432.39) changed ctrl+backspace to go to the root of the current website directory, rather than the universal function of deleting the last word. How can this be disabled? A search suggested it is configured in the Preferences file (\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Next\Preferences), however there are no key bindings listed.

To delete a word, use Ctrl Backspace while typing in an edit field.
Anywhere else, Ctrl Backspace will go to the root of the current website.
