Pop out video ugly border

I could reproduce it with Stable 44.0.2510.1218 (PGO), although I get a one-pixel black border at the left, bottom, and right of the pop-out instead. It has never been a burden to me, but borderless would look much better.
I guess the border has always been there, but it's gotten bigger in the reborn update.

Ironically, I am unable to reproduce the behaviour with Beta 45.0.2552.225 and Developer
46.0.2556.0 (PGO); the pop-out video is borderless which is neat af. I cannot wait for the all revamped Opera to go live. -

I hope it gets fixed soon though, I was about to switch to Vivaldi when the pop out video thing came out and I didn't. I use it on a daily basis so it's quite annoying to have the border(which is not even the same width all round)There's also a bunch of other UI issues(like the windows theme colour option) and isn't Opera 45 meant to be all about the new UI? Sorry it just doesn't make sense to me.

I wonder if this will ever get fixed... I miss the borderless video popout...

If I'm not wrong that behavior is a regression, there were long time without any border, then appeared, then disappeared and then reappeared again. (But not sure if that's right or wrong remembered because the mix of the three Opera streams.)

I didn't disappear for me. Been there since Reborn. First on beta, then stable. Is it there in the latest dev version?
EDIT: I checked the changelog and there's some fixes to video pop out but they are all compatibility fixes instead of UI fix

I've checked in each stream and the video borderless is just in OStable, Beta and Dev has a black border sides.

I hate the black border thing as well. Prior it was borderless and had fixed aspect ratio per video so you could easily enlarge it with perfect video fit. Now, you drag it into one wrong direction and you just get s**t ton of black border. It's stupid.
