Finally moved to 20. Was wondering if I could get the ugly white gradient running along the top of Speed Dial removed as it looks horrid when used along with darker "themes". Additionally, is there any way to remove the [+] button?

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure why the top of the wallpaper is forcibly brighter. You have to chose the wallpaper you want to use carefully. The San Francisco Delight Theme (on the Opera Theme website) by Vjcobra seems to work well. I try to chose something that works notwithstanding the light. Perhaps post that comment on the forum here in what needs to be changed. The light at the top seems to be a flaw and unnecessary.
On the plus, it doesn't bother me, but I don't know how to get rid of it. The personal bookmarks bar was added recently.In terms of customization, you can move folders around on the bar, and even move items from the speed dial to the bar. Or from the bar to the speed dial.

+1 the white gradient is so annoying. I hope it can be removed.
In addition, I think it will be really amazing if every user can edit the code of the speed dial page like programmers do. It seems to be impossible, but quite attractive to me. -

rollingpig, try filing a bug report. That would bring it to the attention of Opera. It certainly seems like a wallpaper bug to me.

Don't bother — it's not a bug. The light background at the top is so that the buttons can be seen even on dark themes.

Ohhh, you mean Speed Dial, Stash and Discover. I wish they could find a better way, though I can live with it. You just have to select what isn't made ugly by the light. Occasionally, the light can even be an enhancement.
