Why Did Opera REMOVE Everything from Account??

I had not used my account in some time, because I had no need. When Opera notified me that they were going to delete my account, I had to reset my password.
I could NOT reset my password from my User Name because Opera had changed it to ALL LOWER CASE. I used my email and was able to get the Password Reset Email and reset my password. After I logged back in, I found that EVERYTHING is gone. I mean everything. That was when I also discovered why I could not use my User Name.
I no longer have a record of all the many posts I made, so I am starting over at zero, which makes me look like a Newbie.
Why did Opera have to change my User Name from the FORMAT I had always used?? I can see forcing a Password Reset due to a Server Breach, but WHY CHANGE EVERYTHING ELSE??
I would like to see a number of the features my prior account had reinstated. You could have used your own icons and avatar. As a sophisticated user, I already had mine. Why make users only have the choice of having to use ONLY Gravatar.com for their avatar??
What about my Signature?? How does one add a signature to their account, which will appear automatically when they make posts??
I would like all dissatisfied users that had their account destroyed to post here.

Maybe you had another account or maybe another email address associated with it?
Why did Opera have to change my User Name from the FORMAT I had always used??
Because lots of things have changed and username is no longer case sensitive. Anyway this is not something really that relevant.
but WHY CHANGE EVERYTHING ELSE??
Those changes happened years before even Sync exist. If I remember correctly they came with the end of My Opera.
Why make users only have the choice of having to use ONLY Gravatar.com for their avatar??
To have less data on their (Opera's) servers? To not have to modify the forum software too much?
What about my Signature??
This forum doesn't allow signatures.

They probably have already been gone since this forum started about two and a half years ago.

I would like all dissatisfied users that had their account destroyed to post here. This is what happens when you don't stay up to date with things. Everything you lost or had was Opera discontinued around 2-5 years ago. As for your Account, when you signed up, You agreed to the TOS, but I assume like most angry people who get their accounts deleted, you never read the TOS.

I did not see anything in the FAQs on whatever the "Web Archive" is. How do I locate it an use it??

I had been using my account with the last year. I had NOT gone 2 years without using it and EVERYTHING was there and nothing was lost.

I had read TOS and know that Opera, like all commercial enterprises, has the right to change anything at any time. That includes being able to delete or remove users at any time.
I was not in charge of this forum, but I am an Certified IT professional with over 32 years of experience. I am responsible for databases and Tens of Thousands of Accounts. The beauty of computers and DB apps is that those in charge have all the User's contact info. If a Major Change had to be implemented, then here is what any pro I know (my colleagues, etc.) and I would have done. Alert your Support Team what is going to happen and have a plan. Send a notification email to ALL Account Holders. Wait for Account Holders to log in and see the changes -- with DB apps you can track who has logged in. See what issues the Support Team has been addressing. That is very simple and straightforward. I find it disconcerting to discover that when
Opera KNEW they were going to make significant changes they failed to contact ALL Users. -

Opera KNEW they were going to make significant changes they failed to contact ALL Users. They've sent notifications to all users and also put warnings on several pages. If some users had provided fake email addresses and never accessed such Opera pages, it's not Opera's fault.
