If you want to download video from YouTube, you have many solutions on Android. I don't think opera mini can implement this kind of functions because he is under the light. Those browsers you mention are not as known as opera mini.

@ornelien http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/versions/ is the place where we put the stable versions. Unfortunately we don't upload beta versions there.
Regarding our downloader, you'll see more changes in the future versions.

wish item: considering that pages saved by opera mini can't be exported/extracted or used by other browsers, it is essential that pages saved can be exported to JPG or a screenshot capture functionality (vertical autoflow) should be added.

well I'm using the latest version of opera mini beta and my entire download list just disappeared including my paused downloads, just great!

Here on my device (Samsung GT-I9300I) Opera Mini beta 20.0.2254.109431 cant able download files in background. While I close Opera Mini during downloading downloads are stopped. After Re-open Opera Mini, the following downloads are failed to resume though from the server I do download fully support Download Resume. Moreover, the downloading speed wasn't stable.

Sorry to burst your hopes, Sir William, but there is a higher chance of Google selling off its Search Engine than Opera incorporating a proper Saved pages feature in future versions. -

Opera Mini has been my favorite for quite some time. I think download manager need some improvements. Hope v20 brings it.

In Opera Mini file downloading wasn't a great experience. Failed and interrupted downloads happen a bit too often and when they do, most of the time resuming the download doesn’t work. And obviously it has unstable & slow speed downloading problem.
On the other hand, both UC Browser & UC Mini has built in powerful robust download manager. Which handles better file downloading. With better speed & better file management & obviously with download acceleration.
If opera mini developers will improve the opera mini's built in download manager then without any doubt, Opera Mini will be the best of all.

Let's not forget that file downloads put a lot of stress on Opera's servers and connections compared to just compressing websites, considerably raising the costs to run a free service to hundreds of millions users.
While I would appreciate an improved download performance in Opera Mini, I don't mind using UC Mini for download purposes rather than forcing Opera to earn more revenue to cover their bills.

Add also the fact that Opera mini downloads past the actual file size.
I left Opera mini to download iTunes 12.5.2, a file not more than 170MB.
Some 40mins later, Opera mini was STILL downloading the file and the size was past the actual download size and creeping towards the 400MB mark. Doesn't take much to know that the file is already corrupted.
Repeated tries and it's the same issue.Copied the link and pasted into UCMini and it downloaded and the installer opened successfully.
Repasted the same link in Chrome and it also downloaded and opened well.
Repasted in OperaMini and tried again. Downloaded past the size. Decided to leave it, probably it was having connection issues, but hours later the completed download couldn't launch. File corrupted.

I don't know if this a problem with the latest beta but I'm getting randomly the error "Error 300 - invalid certificate" in Let's Encrypt sites. A refresh or two makes the problem disappear.
