Self explanatory. First level menu item to make Opera window always stay on top. There are other solutions that claim to do this but why not implement such a simple functionality to the browser itself ?

I suppose the moderator asks me to elaborate my reasoning, since -as it seems- there is no similar suggestion.

          Let me present an example:

Suppose you have a 2 monitor setup.
You run Visual Studio and use both monitors: UI on the left monitor, code on the right.
You want to quickly browse the internet for e.g. the syntax of a command or a code snippet.
You fire up your favorite browser (=>Opera) on the left monitor.
You click on the right monitor and because Opera is not "always on top" the UI window appears over Opera.

Ideally, the always-on-top functionality should be provided via a first-level option on the upper-left menu or the right-click menu.

          Thanks.

Nope, it was because you hadn't explained why that feature should be added and how it would benefit the users.

You fire up your favorite browser (=>Opera) on the left monitor.
You click on the right monitor and because Opera is not "always on top" the UI window appears over Opera.

I didn't get why it would happen. If you start a program, it will take the focus unless you habe changed some setting on the OS or in another program, at least on Windows.

That's exactly what I am stating. In my example, Visual Studio will take the focus on both monitors, as it should, because it has windows on both monitors.

The thing is, that I want Opera to stay on top on the left monitor, while I work on Visual Studio on the right monitor. That's what "always-on-top" does. What is missing is the AoT functionality from Opera itself.

+1 to this topic from me also.
One use case is for show of lyrics of certain song while doing some other work...
Or waiting for something to happen on one site while doing some other work.
There are a massive amount of possible uses for such a function.

I am interested in this as well. I borrow ebooks from my library and Adobe Digital Editions prevents me from seeing Opera while it's downloading. It's extremely frustrating and a setting to allow Opera always on top would help.

@hyperspaced - I have the same issue - only in reverse. I am using a windows 10 laptop. Opera stays on top - I cannot get the other apps - ANY of them - to take over the screen... I always have to minimize Opera if i want to see the other open apps. Perhaps we could compare settings - I also use Opera on a mac - windows 7 - iOS for both iPad and iPhone (but later removed them as they were severely limited in functions (no VPN either) and run VERY slow)... The windows 10 machine is the only one that is having the problem.

@robdaddy As anyone can clearly see, this topic is for requesting a feature to keep Opera always on top and no problems are being reported or discussed here.

So create a new topic in the proper forum to discuss your issue. Don't forget to read the rules before do it.
