Very long extension moderation process

Almost 5 months here - have they stopped reviewing extensions and just not bother to tell developers?

The update for Web Panel was approved a couple of days ago, approximately one month after submission. They seem to be working, but understaffed.

Our extension was submitted on November 21 2017.
Still no approval, so after 9 month wait we just delete it. Opera has really low user base, so it's pointless to wait this long. -

Hello, guys. We wait very long while our extension will complete moderation. What can we do for speed up the process?
-

@roskvartal you might go through the code and check naming... and resend it.

@rudrick Which naming should i check? Could you give me more clear answer?

@roskvartal Do you have a link to extension somewhere. Not that it matters what we users on here think, but maybe some of us can look at it to see if there's anything that sets off a red flag.

I definitely have. You can download it from chrome extension store. I hope I can share my link here.. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/росквартал/dbpcdcmbodpopogggpnkhfcoaaglbbcf

Celebrating a year since last review. Going for two now.
Seriously? Do you mean you have waited A YEAR?
Well, congratulations!

@roskvartal I looked at it. I don't know Russian very well, but translated the description to see what the extension is for. I see it just adds some quick ways to access some of the services on https://roskvartal.ru/. I don't know anything about the site though.
I looked at the contents of the extension. I don't see anything shady in the scripts or anything like that. I see it adds a search to Google and Yandex as an option, but that sounds okay.
The only question I personally would have is why the use of the hot-reload script to monitor changes to the extensions directory and then reload pages? Is that just for development purposes? Is that needed for a regular user? Is it only active when the extension is loaded in develop mode (I think maybe that's the case)? It doesn't sound malicious. Just wondering.
I don't see any reviews on the Chome webstore extension link and it only looks like there are a few users. But, don't see any red flags anywhere.
In short, I don't see any barriers that would cause trouble with getting your extension approved.

@tprockow Any updates on the progress that you can share? Thanks

@gustavwiz Yes, it was a very productive year. A lot of updates and submissions have been made to the extension an none of them has been reviewed.

There's like hardly any new addons coming our way... There used to be like a bunch of in a week, now 2-3 in a month.

@rudrick, after 10 months, I've finally got a response for one of the submissions, saying that the build scripts must work on Windows. I'm wondering why is this not specified in the submission guidelines.

All my extensions got published today. \o/
It seems one of the main issues was that the build scripts did not run on Windows, but I was not contacted about the error, and with time the extensions were likely pushed down in the reviewer backlog.
The submission experience could be improved by communicating issues as they happen, and the publishing guidelines also need an update.
The guidelines currently suggest that bundled code is not accepted. That is no longer the case, we just have to provide the source code and instructions to reproduce the submitted package on Windows.
https://dev.opera.com/extensions/publishing-guidelines/#acceptance-criteria
If there are others with bundled extensions, this is the guide I've sent them that finally got the exensions published, feel free to adapt it to your own needs:
