The video appears as a still photo/graphic with a right pointing arrow you're supposed to press to play the video except it doesn't in Opera.
Here's the link
http://espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard/_/date/20160720I've tried a couple of videos there and they played fine here.
Do you have Turbo enabled by chance? What about 'click to play' in plug-ins settings?
revisited the espn site tonight and noticed I had an exception to block adds for this site
Ad-blocker doesn't seem to be the one to blame in this case.

Hi leocg,
I've searched all over but I can't seem to fin either Turbo or plug-ins settings.
Can you please share exactly where I find them both?
ex. Menu>Settings>??
Should I have Turbo enabled or disabled?
Should I have 'click to play' in plug-ins settings?
And do I just place a check mark next to them or place a dot in a circle next to them?
Or are there other steps I need to take to enable Turbo and/or enable 'click to play' in plug-ins settings?
Thanks so much for checking on that site and helping me with it.

Hi,
So many times when I go to click submit just as I'm cling this box pops up with foreign language choices and sets the Draft and Submit in another language.
Can I turn that feature off or make English the permanent choice for the Submit and Daft buttons?
Thank you!

Hi Leocg - In the drop down menu when I click the Menu tab, I see a listing for Opera Turbo – it is not checked. Is your Opera Turbo checked which has enabled you to watch ESPN videos? Or do I need to visit another area to enable Opera Turbo (or disable it, if that’s what enables videos to be watched on sites?
I typed in plug-ins into that small search box and it found Plug-Ins and I did not have a dot in a circle next to Click to Play but I do now.
I then returned to the espn site but with click to play enabled (dot in circle) and no check mark next to Opera Turbo in the main drop down Menu listings, the video still does not play. Could you please share all your relevant settings you have set to watch videos so I can verify that I have all my settings correctly set?
Thanks so much.

Can you please try checking it and then unchecking again.
s your Opera Turbo checked which has enabled you to watch ESPN videos?
Nope, i don't usually use Turbo.
Should I have Turbo enabled or disabled?
Turbo is useful only if you have a very slow internet connection.
Should I have 'click to play' in plug-ins settings?
I asked about that setting and also about Turbo because they can be causing your issue with videos.
I did not have a dot in a circle next to Click to Play but I do now.
So 'click to play' doesn't seem to be the cause of your issue.

There is none, video should play with default settings.
What version of Flash do you have?

Hi leocg,
I just checked Opera Turbo and then unchecked it. I double-checked to ascertain if Click to play will still set in plug-in settlings and it is.
I have Flash Player 22 (installed 7/16/2016) - the latest I believe.
There must be one other setting or something that's different because when the ESPN video is clicked on that viewing window appears with the > right pointing arrow to play which I click but it never plays, nothing happens. There are also 2 arrows in the upper region of those videos - I guess its for replay? I've clicked them, too but to no avail.
Is this something which can be shared with any of the Opera developers to see if they might have any insights about what may be causing this?
Thanks for the troubleshooting.

Change to the recommend one and see if the video plays.

Can you take a screenshot and post the link to it here? All videos are unavailable to me right now but i remember them playing automatically.

I wonder if this doesn't have something to do with Adblock Plus and ESPN?
I found this Googling ESPN loading problems.
https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24896&start=15
Is Adblock Plus built into Opera?
Have you loaded and watched the ESPN videos either with Adblock Plus turned off somehow?
The posts on that site include changing code and seemed complicated.
Is there a way to watch those videos without involving that Adblock Plus?
Thanks so much!

Is Adblock Plus built into Opera?
Nope but Opera has an ad-blocker.
Have you loaded and watched the ESPN videos either with Adblock Plus turned off somehow?
I don't use that extension.

If you don't have ABP installed then it's not the cause of your problem. If you have, just disable it or create an exception for that site.

Here's a .png of what I see as it won't load.
Also, once I have all my FF bookmarks copied exactly how do I paste them on to my Opera Toolbar so they look like the yellow folders as seen in here - http://imgur.com/EchSAzf
Thank you.

Can you play html5 videos on other sites?

Hmm, wasn't it explained already? You need to copy them to the 'bookmarks bar' folder in the bookmarks manager.
If your imported bookmarks aren't inside folders, you can create them.

Eager-to-learn, some video hosting/embedding sites cover their pages and/or the player area with sometimes multiple layers of "onclickloads" ad links. So, depending on your ad-blocker presence and functionality, sometimes you have to click on the area like 4 times before you've undug the stream.
uBlock makes it zero though - I can proceed straightforward in the browser with it installed (not many sites checked though).
It's just to cover the edges, or in case it is ''the edges''. -

@leocg - I believe ESPN is a Flash Vidoe site. I don't know of any html5 sites. Can you please sahre any so I cnas see if they load?
The last step of pasting my FF bookmarks into the browser toolabr has not ben clarofed for me. I can Press Ctrl + Shift + B to open the are where they are located. At that point I see my FF bookmarks listed in a logo-type format not the yellow folders I had in FF (as I sharedin the links twice). I cna then press Ctrl A and it hgihoight them all and theh Ctrl/C to copy them but the next step(s) of how to locate/relocate them up on a tollbar like FF has not been clearly elucidtated. Where excatly woild the I then press Ctrl/V to paste them so they appear across the page with yellow folders ala FF?
Can you make a screen recordign of the steps and post that on YouTube and share that link so I can watch step-by-step how to proceed?
Thank you.
@ joshl - I've pressed the > right pointing arrow (Play) many times (10 x) but the video never plays. I don't have any ad blocker enabled so it's not clear what's preventing the espn video from playing.

Interesting since practically every time I would visit ESPN I would get a pop-up message instructing me to download the latest Flash Player.
Thank you for correcting me on that.
How do I disable flash?
Thanks so much!
