Mailto Links No Longer Work

Was using Windows Live Mail 2011, then upgraded to Windows Live Mail 2012, and now my extension that used to open WLM no longer work, nor do any mailto links on web pages.

I have ascertained that WLM IS the default mail program and that the mailto protocol IS WLM

Any help appreciated.

Addendum, I have uninstalled Windows Live Mail 2012, reinstalled it, and mailto from a web page does not work, nor does the "Send page Via Email" work either (worked before). Of note, IE correctly opens WLM 2012 on mailto links on web pages. So, I do not think the issue is JUST with Windows LM, but rather with Opera and WLM 2012 (but not WLM 2011)

Addendum #2::

I uninstalled all of Windows Live Essentials 2012, and installed Windows Live Essentials 2011 (SO difficult to find this install, because Miccrosft has made sure it was not available anywhere).

The 2011 Version works perfectly within Opera now.

So....is the problem with Opera?? or is it with Windows Live Mail 2012??

Not sure. I wonder if you installed 2012 again if it'd work then.

You could check the differences in the mailto registry keys with each version (set as the default). Some keys to compare

There might just be something that WLM 2012 doesn't set that 2011 does.

Did exactly that, installed 2012, didn't work with mailto links, reinstalled 2011, works perfectly
