I restarted my Opera browser and got an error messaging that I don't recall now. It was about failing to load something or something was missing. Then a new Opera window opened and it was fresh new. Everything is gone now. All the saved passwords, add-ons, everything. I have some very special settings for the browser with the add-on like Ghostery and uBlock. It'd be a big loss for me if I can't recover those. Any why has any idea why this was happening? I'm guessing it could either be I'm running low on storage or the new BitDefender anti-virus I installed.

      Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

By add-ons, I meant extensions. Both native Opera extensions and the ones made for Chrome. Basically the Browser is like freshly installed, the only thing remembered from previous settings are the search engines I added.

Do you still see the extensions in the extension manager (View -> Show Extensions)?

If not, Opera's profile is stored in Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera in your home directory, perhaps you can see there if something messed with your files or renamed them?

I was able to manually re-download all the extensions and the settings were automatically restored. However, it seems strange that Opera will not remember any web pages I've visited after a while. (I'm not using the private mode.)

Then it crashed again and I restarted Opera, everything was gone again. This time I was able to see the error message at launching, it says Opera is "unable to read user profile. Check to see if you have the privilege." I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with BitDefender for Mac.
