I just installed the newest Opera 37 on Ubuntu, and I cannot find a couple of options I really want.

      1. The newly open tabs to be in focus, instead of opening them in background
      2. The middle click on the mouse to be used for scrolling (which on Firefox is named autoscrolling)

Do those options exist on Opera, and where can I find them?

How are you opening a new tab?

Opera/Presto (versions through 12.x) practically invented autoscroll, though they called it panning (term for how a movie camera moves slowly in one direction). Unfortunately the new Blink-based versions (since 15) don't have this. 😞

          With mouse middle-click.

There are many extensions that tweaks tab behavior, try this one: https://addons.opera.com/extensions/details/tabs-to-the-front
