Opera browser ignores Surface Pen

Installed Opera on a Surface Pro 4 i5 8Gb RAM. Windows 10. All latest patches. Wintab drivers installed.
Pen input is ignored completely!
No taps on any links.
No taps on window controls like maximize, minimize, close, or menu.
No taps on scroll bar buttons.
No drag select with pen. ie cannot select text, not even with finger - and this is the key show stopper.Basically Opera is finger touch only on the Surface Pro 4. No pen support. Really?!
Touch and pen works on Chrome and other apps on the same unit.Have tried reinstalling. No change.
Is it my installation? Or a known characteristic?

Yup, can confirm that. About 50% of the time (Sometimes it works when I just rebooted my Surface), Opera ignores the Surface pen. Only touch input works as expected.
I'm running Windows 10 10586.218 on a Surface Pro 4, too.

I confirm this aswell on a Surface 3.
It was working fine until recently, now it doesn't. A fresh install with no addons still doesn't detect the pen inputs.
Chrome or any other browser works just fine.
SP3 on windows 10 with opera 41.0.
Unfortunately this is a deal breaker for me.
