Opera uses pepperflash, and should find it in the default location.

Pepperflash is available in your package manager if you enable "nonfree". I'm not a *buntu user myself and can only go by what's been posted here in the forums - my Linux of choice is Mageia.

Can't install flash on debian. Can someone answer me: Where must I put libflashplayer.so? I had not /usr/lib/opera/plugins. I created it, and put libflashplayer.so into. What's wrong? Why is it not working? On iseweasel and chromium flash work good.

@sergiy9: Try to install all these packages: flashplugin-installer, pepperflashplugin-nonfree and adobe-flashplugin. Then try to run ´sudo update-flashplugin-nonfree --install´. Restart Opera, and see if it works.

No need to move files manually.
