I've just installed Opera on a three machines - two Toshiba satellite laptops and a home-brewed desktop. The two 64-bit laptops run Win10, upgraded from Vista via Win7, while the desktop runs Win7 32-bit. So far so good. One laptop and the desktop are quite happy with Opera as the default browser, but the other one is being a pain. Everything is set to allow Opera to access the network and the internet but for some reason it cannot. AntiVirus is part of System Mechanic 15.5, firewall is Zone Alarm's free version. Settings are identical on all machines. Along with the OS setting, both show Opera as being default browser and the firewall allows it full access in and out. However only on this one laptop, Opera cannot access the network; ALL other programs can - IE, Edge (yeah, I know; why do you think I installed opera?) Chrome and Firefox can access the network with no trouble, but Opera times out with the regular error message of "the website blahblahblah.whatever is taking too long to respond, check connections," etc. There's nothing wrong with them! Every other browser works - as (which surprises me, does Opera's sync function!) I've reinstalled Opera, rechecked all the settings, uninstalled Chrome and Firefox, reinstalled them, everything! It has me baffled.

Does any Opera-savvy genius out there have any idea what else I can do?
      All suggestions gratefully received.

Turbo? Turn it off. Some proxy? Well, this shoud affect Chrome either. Clean install? If not, then some extensions? Antivirus - disable temporarily. ZoneAlarm? Disable temporarily. Windows firewall itself?
