      How can I verify ?

Menu > (Opera) Turbo. Check if it shows a check mark. If yes, it's enabled.

At the moment I disinstalled the extention that I was using (that isn't the default extension)

          Thanks

Have you checked with those extensions disabled?

Also, is the builtin pdf plugin enabled?

Does the issue happens on any page?

                  Go to plugins
                  type on address bar:opera://plugins/
                  Disable:Chrome PDF Viewer
or Foxit Reader Plug-In & Adobe Acrobot Reader Plugin.
                  Goodluck.

I found Chrome PDF Viewer and Acrobat Reader (on my PC I use Acrobat XI Pro not the reader)

                    this is the situation

                    http://i.imgur.com/TMSy2MJ.jpg

I disabled it or eneble it but I can only download the .pdf files and open it in a second moment (using Acrobat XI Pro)

no way to open directly the .pdf files on clicking on it

Same thing if I install the Documents extension

                    https://addons.opera.com/it/extensions/details/documents/?display=en#

                    Thanks

I forgot, investigating about the problem I've seen that this happens for every .pdf file I try to open from this site

                      http://el34world.com/Forum/index.php

                      Not from some other sites

Maybe the site is not sending the correct mime type? Anyway, i already saw some sites where you can't open a pdf directly into the plugin, you need to downlaod the pdf file.

After fighting this problem for weeks I finally found a SIMPLE answer and the cause of my problem. Problem: Can not view a pdf file in Opera from mail or a website. Solution: "UNCHECK" 'Opera Turbo' in the Opera drop down menu. Amazingly simple and could NOT find that answer anywhere. Just got lucky.

On my PC Opera Turbo isn't enable

What to say .... Opera 12.17 seems to beat his cousin Opera 34.0

at least for this two reasons

1° - You can set Opera 12.17 as it didn't send the info about the provenience server

2° - You can set Opera 12.17 to open a specific file extension with a specific program

I don't understand why to open a file with a specified program is much more different from opening the same file

using a plugin ..... if the reason that Opera 34.0 didn't allow to use external programs to open files, which is

the difference with an extension (or plugin as you prefer to call it), isn't the risk of problems the same ???
