Is there a way to open speed dial entries in a new tab automatically without clicking the + button?

No. Tried it. Opens in same tab.

Then something is wrong with your setup. The default behavior for Opera is to open a link in a new tab if you use middle click/scroll wheel click.

Lando, you are correct. I had installed X-Mouse Button utility some time ago to mimic a double click when middle click is pressed.

I can live with the + button.

              Thanks all for replying.

You also have the mouse gestures at your disposal. They are great.

nrqj ... I never really played around with mouse gestures.

Tried it and it solves my problem. Thank you.
