Helpful Extras to customize Opera 18/19 (Mostly 19)

I need to import my bookmarks into speed dial again (since I deleted them, most of them, the first time when I didn't want them in the QAB). It won't let me - grayed out. Any idea how to do it?

Opera users are accustomed to using right-click to remove toolbar buttons. To show the menu more quickly than click and hold, use click and drag down. Right-click in Opera 18 is easier, but it is not that easy to relearn skills if you are a long-term Opera user.

Dear pain of lolkids,
There are many things old Presto users miss after having migrated to Blink. Even though some of it is retained, it is not placed anywhere an old Presto user would expect to find it. I am afraid Opera Software has been gambling a bit with the patience of these previously faithful users by changing a lot with relatively scarce information to the old users.
(Personally I am glad they released a Opera Mobile Classic for Android, as, even though the speed and rendering of the web pages were better in the new Opera Mobile, they removed a lot of the functionality I felt made the old Opera Mobile the perfect Android browser for me.)
Since there are a lot of us old pre-Blink Opera users out there who do fail to find the way to use the Blink versions fully, I would ask you to try to please abstain from patronising comments for the comments own sake (even if it is tempting, I know), and rather concentrate on constructive contributions.

It is not even CLOSE to being as customizable as version 12, though, but it's so fast and works so well with almost every other website now that I'm slowly getting used to it.

What a bunch of crap. Just installed the new version and its nowhere near as customizable as 12.****. I want my tabs at the bottom like i always have. Cant do that *sigh*. Any mods to made tabs at the bottom?

The most obvious answer is to use Firefox with Tree Style Tab. There's a thread with many more suggestions in that direction.

I despise Firefox. Always have. If I wanted to use Firefox, I wouldn't be here in the Opera forum, would I?

The question isn't whether you want to use Firefox, but what's the best (or least-bad) browser to replace Opera/Presto. Clearly smurfinaus does not think Opera/Blink is up to the task, so it stands to reason the answer is much more likely to be Firefox than anything else.

Well, since this thread is how to help you customize Opera, I think suggestions of using Firefox or another browser are just silly. That option is always available so what's the point?

The point is that a simple no is quite unhelpful. No, but here's an alternative that might work for you is much more helpful. If someone really wants their tabs on the bottom, Opera 18+ is simply not the answer.

It doesn't. However, the name is somewhat deceptive. The tree-style-tabs are optional and you could use it just for plain tabs on any side. I just checked and Tab Mix Plus also allows basic top or bottom configuration. I don't think Firefox has ever allowed tabs on bottom natively.

I downloaded the buttons I wanted and the history button works fine for me. Downloads, print, history, duplicate tab work great!! I always loved that button!! (used to be an option for me in Opera in the bottom status bar on the right)
Awesome!!! I love a few of these buttons. Now if I could just get another toolbar to put all my new buttons on, I'd be happy!

Just converting from Presto to Blink on one more of the computers I use. This time, however, there seems for some reason to be trouble with D&D from the Speed dial to the Quick Access Bar. What can have happened?
