In the old opera there was a button called "fit page to width" which I frequently used to great effect. Some websites appear as if there is no word wrap and the text goes on for miles, and you have to scroll sideways. Other times it's a series of photos that go left to right. Some listings on ebay suffer from being cut off on one side and no scroll bar. Is there a way to fix this in the most recent opera?

There are extensions that do this, iirc.

I've tried many of these extensions.

          They simply don't work.

There is no equivalent to the original FTW option found in the older Opera versions.

The first thing I did was search for an extension and after viewing hundreds of results, nothing was even close to what I need. Can u recommend anything? Even if it only kinda works it'd help.

You need something that overrides every style there considering width of elements and the whole page.
Nowrap seems a problem... Though such weirdies mustn't be too frequent, I guess...
No, I don't know any extensions either. And as people were talking, it seemed there were none.

Most sites that care now don't employ horizontal scrolling - much.
In my other browsers I have to - time to time - zoom out or scroll to see if I miss something on the right...
Well, I guess the codes are developing, thus one day we might not need elaborated tools to fit a page to the width of the window... Maybe... In terms of sniffing what display we're using, feedback from the browser about the current window width perhaps, kinda...
