Page Sharing

One of the little things I liked about Chrome was an extension which allowed sharing of a page via various media sites and by email. I note that there used to be a similar share bookmark function in Opera and I can understand why a little used feature like that might be discontinued but I'm surprised there have not been any similar addons developed for opera or have I missed something.
I used to use this function for my students and clients to share resource or research pages I had found that that may have been useful to them. Of course I can just copy and past the URL into an email but that is a much longer process. -

Hi @rodanne, we're currently adding a 'share' function to Opera for Mac, which is scheduled to appear in Opera 34. It uses OS X's native sharing API, and allows you to share links via Mail, text messages, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
If you want a sneak peek, and you're not afraid of using beta-quality experimental software, take a look at our developer stream (from http://blogs.opera.com/desktop/) which already includes the feature (look for 'Opera developer' in the sidebar on the right).
Otherwise you can simply wait: the feature will show up in Opera's stable versions before the end of the year!
