Opera Cannot Access Bookmarks

Hello, despite the fact that I cannot synchronize my bookmarks to my Windows 7 O32 adequately, I decided to move forward with using Opera.
If I open a Web page and click the + to the left of the address bar, Opera asks what folder do I want to put it in. After I chooses one, that box closes.
The problem now is that tapping the Bookmark icon on the Speed Dial page which is supposed to open my bookmarks either does nothing or freezes Opera which closes down on its own 20 seconds later.
Being that my supposedly synchronized bookmarks are not accessible, nor can I access any NEW bookmarks I add, Opera pretty much becomes a useless Web browser.
For a resume of the problem as it developed, here is where that discussion is::

If ANYONE can help me, it would be appreciated.

I found a workaround.
I found out it is possible to place folders on the Speed Dial page, so I put all my folders in my Bookmarks on theSpeed Dial page, and synced my tablet to that, now I have all my BMs on the Speed Dial page, in folders, which is how my Bookmarks used to show under the Bookmark icon on the Speed Dial page.
It's too bad the Bookmark function is broken on my tablet for Opera,
