Annoying website rendering issue on android

On some sites like this one the sidemenu of the website is shown when page is loaded and covers the screen from left to almost fully right and down to bottom of page, like that side drawer that android apps use when swiping from left screen edge. Makes the site useless cause can't read it and won't dissappear by tapping on things or reloading page. On regular Opera it can be removed by simply tapping the menu button in the upper left corner of the page. Noticed it on many different websites.

Same experience on android 2.3 HTC Desire S opera mini 18

It appears to be connected with the rendering of the button for the dropdown menu HTH Works as expected in Firefox. Surprised that more reports have not been made
