Stay with your 30.x or below version, all speed dial icons will be changed to awful colored icons and you may loose your password list (formerly wand.dat) which is now called login data. How it works? Delete all opera_autoupdate files on your PC and don't start the installer.

Also the default search engines are not removable anymore. Opera refuses to start if you edit, rename or remove the default_partner_content.json file.
Unlike OP, I don't advise to stay on 30.x or below. I advise switching to Chrome or Firefox...

Yeah, I just can't understand why the f@ck would they do this? I mean, before I just looked at the pictures and could see where is what, the entries were easily distinguishable. But know??
Yeah, because when everybody's going for that "minimalistic, more simple the better" look so must we!
Screw originality..
This speed dial was pretty much the only real reason for which I stayed with Opera and you managed to fuc@ed that up..HARD.I know you can choose a picture for your entry, yes, in fact now you can choose between multiple options - BUT, there should be a way to set default option: the good old way or weird "modern" new one. And don't forget opaque background for title.
