Opera Mini IP address handling

Hi,
I've successfully installed Opera Mini on both my Android device and Wearable (Samsung Gear S).
Surfing works fine, however it seems I cannot access local hosted web pages by entering the IP address and port number.
(example: http://1.2.3.4:1234)

Opera for Android can reach the service and successfully loads the HTML page (AJAX client) but not the Mini version.
Any ideas why it won't load or what I can do?

It's because Opera Mini servers can't access your local machines.

You have to be able to access your inside site from the external Internet. Mini simply can't access a site entirely inside a firewall - you have to be available outside from one of Opera's servers.

Can you rearrange things and set up a port forwarding on your firewall, and use a dynamic dns setup?
