Prevent automatic index at downloading files that exist in download folder

Is there a way in Opera 30 to prevent files to be named "filename (1)" if "filename" exists in my download folder already?
I would rather be asked to overwrite the existing file.
(I checked: ask for download directory in opera://config and I need it this way if this makes a difference...)

As far as I know, it's not possible. I think you will have to write some sort of shell script yourself if you want to accomplish something such a thing.

I am talking about the "proposed" filename, Opera writes into the save dialog, prior to effectively saving the file to disk. In 12.x and previous versions of Opera, the name of the file was proposed there, regardless of any matching existence at the target filesystem location. This is my favoured behaviour I would like to have back.
