Out of memory

"Either Opera ran out of memory or the process for the webpage was
terminated for some other reason."I assume this message is tied in with the other complaints about nothing loading.
I've tried to go back a version but the same thing happens.
Opera 12 works OK. I'm running a basic Toshiba Satellite laptop.
Is there a fix in the works for this? I couldn't get the launcher suggestion to work.
