How do I reorganize extension icons?

I've left Chrome for Opera, and I'm using pretty much the same extensions, but I want to organize them in the same familiar order I used in Chrome. Why is this so impossible to do????

Man, if only there was an extension that let you do that...

If you're new then you'll have no problem re-installing ( remove first then install ) your extensions. They are sorted by installation date.

Thank you lando242 for the link.
Having to uninstall, then reinstall the extensions in the order I want them to display is unacceptable behavior for a modern browser. What if I later install another extension I want right in the middle? Ridiculous.

Why the hell do we need another addon for a feature that should be in Opera since day 1? Freaking Opera 12 had this like century ago. But in the modern world, we either can't move them or we need another addon to move other addons. What's even more stupid, considering Opera is basically a copy of Chrome, Chrome already has this feature since forever. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Opera and Chrome share a renderer. That is all. The interface for Opera is built from scratch. Another thing Opera does not share with Chrome is a giant budget and a massive development team. So it takes time to implement stuff. Lower priority features that don't have that big of an impact on usability take longer to be appear.
That said, you are perfectly within your rights to demand a full refund and swear off ever coming back to these forums until they add the feature.
