Google Hangouts do not work (anymore)

Hi *.

Google Hangouts does no work anymore. Not on Ubuntu 15.10 and not on Windows.
The browser keeps wanting to install the hangouts-plugin which is already installed.
Am I the only one with this failure?
In case not please advice what to do to make Google Hangouts work again.

Version: 36.0.2130.29 - Opera is up to date

System: Windows 7 64-bit (WoW64)

From what I recently heard, in passing, on Windows Weekly [Thurrott and Mary Jo], Google Hangouts have been shut down. From my own inability to BEAT anyone into SKYPING, I'm not at all surprised............if the report is true

Hi!

I successfully use the Hangouts addon (install <em>CRX Extension Source Viewer</em> first and use it do install the <em>Hangouts</em> extension from Google). You might have to ”<em>Allow</em>“ cookies from talkgadget.google.com as well as hangouts.google.com in Opera's privacy settings, in case you selected to generally deny third party cookies.

The new hangouts.google.com works for me pretty well, though, either.
