First opera start, after system start is always very slow I have to wait up to one minute to see Opera window, is very irritating and confusing
How to speed up start process ?
I using laptop with with i7-7200m and GPU Nvidia GTX-880m, SSD and plenty of RAM so it's not problem with insufficient computing power or slow HDD

Open your profile folder (its location can be found in the About Opera page) and locate the three files in that directory startting with the word 'session' and delete them. Be warned, they store whatever tabs you had open when you last existed Opera. If you delete them those will be lost. Save them if you had any.
Did that help at all?

Top left in Opera browser, click on the Opera logo thing, then in the menu at the bottom go to About Opera, it shows where the Profile Folder is. Most commonly on Win7/8 it will be Users > Home > AppData > Roaming > Opera Software > Opera Stable but that is default, it could be somewhere else.
That does seem to speed up things a bit but (having the same problem) it does feel a lot slower than the old Opera on the whole but I never kept time so it may just be subjective impression.

I already know what is causing the problem, I moved cache to other slow drive using symbolic link, Opera during first start rebuilds cache or something like that, which is slowing down Opera during start
Now I have to find how to disable or block cache

It is the history saving problem. Delete the (whole) history, just be careful not to delete passwords/logins, and it will start a lot faster, and as the history fills, the startup gradually slows down.
Yes, I know you want your history, I want it too
