Direcr download for Max?

Opera browser for android has a direct download link. Mini and Max do not. Why? A google account is required to use google play store. If I wanted a google account, I would use chrome. Google runs in the background and spies and is a member of PRISM. Opera should not require customers to have a google account.

Few choices of operating systems in the world. Unfortunately Applecaused HP Palm to go out of business and Blackberry to almost go out of business.
My android apps are open source from f-droid.org. No google account required.

I haven't been able to find a direct download link hosted by Opera, which doesn't necessarily mean there isn't one.
You can however use an apk downloading site that will extract the apk file from Google Play without having a Google Play account. You then manually transfer the apk file to your phone and install it.

I have two devices, a BlackBerry Q10 that has a degree of Android compatibility and a Nokia X2 which runs Nokia's version of open source Android, neither device has out of the box access to Google Play and therefore are denied access to software like Opera's that are exclusively hosted on Google Play.

I don't want to jump on the bash google band wagon but I have 5 devices here and only one has google services. Its not just the spying element its also the bloat of all hungry google services bleeding my CPU, and ram dry. I appreciate not everybody feels the same but a direct download link would be great. Normally I extract apk from google phone and Bluetooth it to the others.

1 the bloat feels the same.
2 without G serv you miss an important security layer.
3 search with Google for apk uploads, Drive included.
